Hair thickening cream; cuticle cream; face setting powder; and CC cream — I am always looking for the ultimate in each category…

So guess what I just found on the Birchbox website to fill the hair thickening cream category?

I have lots of super fine curly and color treated hair that gets super flat and flyaway in the winter months. Always in search of a thickening cream that makes my hair more voluptuous and voluminous…

As a Birchbox subscriber I happened upon this brand and product— Fave 4. It’s my new favorite hair product. Just a quarter size of Fave 4 and an old fashioned hair dryer and voila! I have used both a round brush when I want to smooth out the curls, and just a diffuser when I want a curlier look… Both work beautifully. I may be able to get rid of the dozen products that don’t work… those in the product graveyard that is the lab in my bathroom.

New Dimension by Estee Lauder

OMG —- this product line is absolutely fabulous. I started out by buying the eye treatment system and went running back [it was barely lunchtime] to buy the face serum. And I got a sample of the neck cream. I find serum and salad lunches are very productive… I’m certain to be going back to buy the neck cream.

I have very fine lines around my eyes. Concealer doesn’t do much but the eye system is fabulous. It moisturizes without being greasy and blurs the fine lines. Makes everything a little better….

My cheekbones seem a little higher and sculpted. I am starting to see a little sagging [yikes] and this seems to help that situation.

Want to tell everyone I know about this. You know, to share the wealth of my experience – it’s only been a week, but this stuff is really great. It’s particularly good for the 50 plus group which I am proudly part of).

Can’t Pass It Up!

I can’t bear the thought of passing by a products store. Imagine my delight when, strolling down Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side that I saw it – heart pounding, I raced across the street and entered a NEW Blue Mercury store!

My new favorite product is the Trish McEvoy High Volume mascara in Jet Black. I have been struggling so sadly with the smudging and smearing of all other types of mascara – from waterproof and beyond. I shared my saga with a lovely and beautiful salesperson [known as Rebecca] who had the most gorgeous eyelashes. I really do have a penchant to make friends with others who speak my language, who understand the trials and tribulations of the beauty weary and the beauty lovers. We became fast friends and I plan to attend their store opening event this coming Saturday in their new Amsterdam Avenue location.

My new favorite finds a place…

So getting back to the mascara, it’s similar to Blinc as it’s made of teeny tiny tubes; but this stuff is even more elongating and thickening, making my lashes luscious like never before. Love it.
